My American Girl!

We made a trip this weekend to Dallas,TX for some girl fun. I met my two oldest daughters there and we spent two wonderful days shopping, eating and having a great time! Today we went to the American Girl store in the Galleria and had a blast! The two older girls decided it was not for them so they went their own way. Off we went to the Bistro for lunch !
Now we have about 15 American girl dolls, they have arrived for every birthday, christmas and any other reason we could think of. This is Josefina she is a favorite of my daughter's so we decided to share our lunch with her this time. The waitress seated us in the cutest little pink booth overlooking the mall. She gave us a few minutes to make our choices and then the food started to arrive.

Of course the cell phone is never far from reach!

I ordered the fruit and yogurt plate for an appetizer, and Annie ordered the pretzels with dipping sauce.

The pretzel rolls were seriously delicious and she would not share!

She did offer a little bite, but just enough to make you want more.

Poor Josephina is still trying to make up her mind.

I ordered the grilled salmon with summer vegetables! YUM!

My American girl ate spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread.

We are stuffed! We could not even eat a dessert. What a great time we had. And yes, I suppose she was the oldest visitor today with a doll. But we didnt care. She has wanted to visit the American Girl place for many years and we finally got the chance. I really do not think you ever outgrow some things.
If you live close to one it is a real treat to take a little one for a visit. It was so much fun watching all of the little girls giggling and fussing over their favorite dolls. They have a beauty salon to fix their hair and pierce their ears! We saw girls of all ages sharing a special day with each other. There were even a few dads tagging along for the trip!
We have our eye on our next purchase. Her name is Rebecca and she lived in 1914 New York! She has beautiful long brown hair and just cant wait until the holidays to bring her home.

School Days

It is that time again! School starts tomorrow. My daughter will be a junior in High school and I will be a junior in college. We have everything we need to get started, NEW SHOES! And a new wardrobe for my daughter.
I really miss the days of buying crayola crayons, lunchboxes, and sharpening pencils. Making sure the lunches were just so, tucking in a little note for them to read at mid-day. My little ones excited about making new friends and meeting the new teachers. Picking them up at the days end to hear all of the chatter about their friends. Then there is the endless paperwork to fill out, and another list of the items that they will need by the next day. Yep, I really miss all of that!
I am requesting serious prayer. I have to take statistics this semester and not really excited about that at all! But I will get through it and be able to cross that hurdle off my list!
Have a happy week!
